Tim and Darlene Ratzloff
Tim
and Darlene Ratzloff have lived and worked in Cambodia since 1996.
Specific ministries have changed and developed over the years. They
taught English at University of Phnom Penh. Darlene developed an
English training program for a Hong Kong-based mission. For five
years, they helped a Cambodian organization to strengthen its orphanage
ministry and develop a variety of agriculture activities and outreach
ministries.
Now
Tim and Darlene are building and empowering a team of Cambodians
to serve the needs of other Cambodians. Jumpah has initiated holistic
responses on behalf of orphans, families living with AIDS, and poor
villagers.
On
the side, Tim has established a project offering professional video
production services to the mission and non-government communities.
Darlene manages the Tuol Koak Coffee Grounds, offering a variety
of coffee and fruit drinks, as well as homemade desserts and delicious
lunches.

people at Mountain View Community Church have 'sent' the Ratzloffs
to minister in Cambodia.

Missionary Alliance denomination. The MVCC governing board has seconded
the Ratzloffs to work with an international organization in Cambodia. |

Who
we serve |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Whoever
falls within the boundaries of our projects will have
opportunities to grow and develop in skills, knowledge
and experience.
But
activities will always 'target' disadvantaged and marginalized
people in Cambodia. These groups will include orphans,
widows, terminally ill and the poor, particularly the
rural poor. |

Why we serve |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Our
faith in Jesus motivates us to serve other people as Jesus
served people. We desire to help people improve their quality
of life, to realize their potential. As people are transformed,
they can then help transform the lives of other people. In
the process, we want people to know and understand Jesus and
have an opportunity to accept the claims of Jesus. |

How
we serve |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Project
activities first motivate, train and equip Cambodians to serve
the needs of other Cambodians.
Communities,
families and individuals impacted by our activities quickly
learn and understand that our services are done 'in the name
of Jesus.'
Relationships
foster understanding and trust.
Training is demonstrated through modeling.
Partnerships are long term.
People
who work hard and participate are 'rewarded' by receiving
additional opportunities to learn and grow. |

A Jumpah flower rarely blossoms
in Cambodia. People pluck the slender white buds to enjoy their elegant
beauty and their mild fragrance. In the same way, orphans and other
children, widows and poor Cambodians have very little opportunity
to reach their potential as people created in the image of God. With
your help, we can encourage, nurture and enable at least some to blossom. |
